What Laser Hair Removal Actually Costs in Calgary

Most Calgary clinics quote a single number and leave out how many sessions you need. Here is the full price list, the realistic session count, and what the total actually comes to.

Ask three Calgary clinics what laser hair removal costs and you will get three numbers, none of which tell you what you will actually pay. The price of one session means very little on its own — what matters is the price per session multiplied by the number of sessions you genuinely need, and almost nobody puts those two figures side by side.

So here is both, with nothing left out.

Laser hair removal prices in Calgary, per session

These are our current prices at LaserPeak Spa on Macleod Trail SW. They are the same numbers you see at checkout — there is no consultation markup and no separate booking fee.

ZonePer session
Upper lip$65
Chin$50
Full face$125
Underarms$85
Bikini$95
Brazilian$125
Half legs$155
Full legs$239
Full back$275
Full body$499

Combination bundles cost less than the same zones booked separately. Brazilian with underarms is $165 rather than $210. Full legs with bikini and Brazilian is $305 rather than $459. Full body — legs, arms, bikini, Brazilian, face and underarms — is $499.

How many sessions you actually need

Six to eight, spaced four to six weeks apart. This is the part clinics tend to blur, so it is worth explaining why the number is what it is.

Hair does not all grow at once. At any given moment only a portion of the follicles in an area are in the active growth phase, and those are the only ones a laser can affect. The rest are dormant and will be untouched no matter how good the machine is. Wait four to six weeks and a new portion becomes active — that is what the next session treats.

If a clinic tells you three sessions will clear an area, they are either selling you a top-up package later or they are not being straight with you.

What the full course comes to

Multiply the per-session price by six to eight and you have your realistic range. Underarms at $85 works out to roughly $510–680 for a full course. Full legs at $239 comes to about $1,435–1,910. Brazilian with underarms at $165 lands around $990–1,320.

Those are bigger numbers than a single session price, and we would rather you see them up front than discover them halfway through.

What changes the price

  • Zone size — the laser covers a set area per pass, so larger zones take more passes and more time.
  • Hair density and coarseness — thicker hair often responds faster, which can mean fewer sessions overall.
  • Bundling — treating adjacent zones in one appointment costs less than booking them separately.
  • Your skin and hair combination — this affects the settings we use, not the price, but it does affect how many sessions you will want.

What should be included and often is not

A consultation and a patch test should never be a separate line item. At LaserPeak both are free, because we need them before we can treat you safely — charging for our own safety check would be strange.

You should also be told, before any money changes hands, what results are realistic for your hair and skin. Laser gives permanent reduction, not permanent removal. Most of the hair goes and stays gone; a small amount can return over the years and is handled with the occasional maintenance session. Any clinic promising permanent removal outright is overselling.

Common questions

How much does laser hair removal cost in Calgary?
Per session, from $40 for small facial zones up to $499 for full body. Underarms are $85, bikini $95, Brazilian $125 and full legs $239. Most people need six to eight sessions, so a full course of underarms runs roughly $510–680.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
It gives permanent reduction rather than permanent removal. Most treated hair does not come back, but a small amount can return over the years and is managed with occasional maintenance sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
Six to eight, spaced four to six weeks apart. Hair grows in cycles and a laser can only affect follicles that are actively growing, which is why the sessions have to be spread out.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. The consultation takes about twenty minutes and includes a patch test, at no cost.

Still have a question?

Consultations are free, twenty minutes, and include a patch test.
